Oil Change, Filter Replacement, and Engine Compartment Cleaning
A scheduled engine oil and filter change was carried out.
Due to repeated discoveries of counterfeit products (as in the previous oil change), this time the consumables were ordered from an official dealer.
The filter’s characteristics fully matched the previous set, with precautions taken to ensure authenticity and quality:
Statistics between changes:
- 7,092 km driven
- 200 engine hours
- 624 liters of AI-98 used
- 8.8 L/100km fuel consumption
- Average speed of 35.46 km/h
There was no significant need for cleaning the engine compartment, as the vehicle was not used from late December t o mid-March and was stored in a dry, warm garage, avoiding contact with snow and road agents.
More than a year had passed since the last cleaning. The procedure was almost the same:
- Dust off surfaces with a soft brush and a paintbrush.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Wrap sensors, connectors, and the alternator in film.
- Protect eyes and hands.
- Apply Kärcher Car Shampoo 3-in-1. Wait for 10 minutes.
- Rinse off with warm water using a high-pressure washer.
